About Dr. George Joseph Gatis, Esq.: Rev. George Joseph Gatis, Th.D., Ph.D., J.D., Esq., was the first accredited Reformed and conservative chaplain at Harvard University since the 1930s. Dr. Gatis is an ordained minister in the Bible Presbyterian Church, and has worked as a jail chaplain, evangelist, nursing home chaplain, a missionary in Cyprus, and moderator of his presbytery. He also serves part-time as counsel to the Rutherford Institute on the First Amendment, a subject which he particularly studied at Harvard. Dr. Gatis is producing a forthcoming series of books. He is a much sought after conference speaker, debater, and expository preacher. He currently is a practicing attorney and lives with his wife Rita in South Carolina, where he also is a part-time campus chaplain at the Citadel.
