After graduating from Temple University of Philadelphia, he taught high school biology, chemistry, and physics at Shelton College, Ringwood, New Jersey. He graduated from Faith Theological Seminary, Elkins Park, Pennsylvania, with the M.Div. and S.T.M. degrees, and received the Th.D. from Grace Theological Seminary, Winona Lake, Indiana, with a major in New Testament.
Dr. Cohen has taught in many colleges and seminaries, including Trinity International University-South Florida Campus (formerly Miami Christian College); Cohen Theological Seminary, with campuses in Torrance, California and Seoul, Korea; Faith Theological Seminary; and Biblical Theological Seminary, Hatfield, Pennsylvania. He also has served as president of Graham Bible College, Bristol, Virginia, and of Clearwater Christian College, Clearwater, Florida.
Dr. Cohen is a Bible Presbyterian minister and has served as Moderator of the Bible Presbyterian General Synod. He was the pastor of the Chester Bible Presbyterian Church in Chester, Pennsylvania, and of the Bellemont Presbyterian Church in Bristol, Tennessee.
In addition to writing many articles in various books and journals, Dr. Cohen is the author of eight books. He also was a translator for the New Kings James Version and a contributor to the Theological Wordbook of the Old Testament. He and his family built the prototype model of Jerusalem for the Holyland Experience in Orlando, Florida. He has led tours to Israel, Jordan, Greece, and Egypt; he also is a popular church and conference speaker both in the United States and in several foreign countries.
Dr. Cohen has three grown children and six grandchildren; all his children are active in Christian service. He and his wife Marion now live in Clermont, Florida.
