The City of Tacoma

Placed between the beautiful Puget Sound and majestic Mt. Rainier, Tacoma, Washington, is an ideal site for the theological student.

Tacoma is named for the mountain—the Native Indian inhabitants called it "Tacobet," meaning "Mother of the Waters."  Rising over 14,000 feet above sea level, it's no wonder native Tacomans call it simply "The Mountain."
